Wii & Wine: Life on the Road

Spring Break!  That means it is time to hit the road, see some new Arizona sites and wineries!

Here are some pictures relating to my newest adventures.  And I can happily say, I am not embarrassed of how I look in any of the pictures.   And as you will see, I enjoyed some fantastic beer and wine.  I balanced the extra liquid calories with eating right and also by walking and sightseeing everyday.  Plus, I kicked off the trip with a Wii workout in the morning before we hit the road, and got back on track the day we returned home.  For the first time ever, no vacation eating and drinking guilt!

I highly recommend visiting both Bisbee and also Willcox wine country.   If you have been to Jerome and love that mining/artist community than you will adore Bisbee, it has something for everyone.  And you already know my passion for Arizona wine, so that one is a no brainier.  Tombstone is great for kids, or little boys, as our little guy loved all the cowboys and horses.  But, Tombstone is a total tourist trap, but at least now I can say I have been to the city that was too tough to die.

Please enjoy my first picture blog post!  Support local tourism and rural Arizona.  Get out there and explore everything this great state has to offer.  Arizona's greatest asset is its diversity, with so much to do and see in every little pocket of the state, from wine to mining and everything in between.
The little man and I posing by the old Bisbee High School Gym entrance.  How cool is the architecture.

Loved this brewery!  And the beer master is also a wine pioneer from both California and Oregon.

Hanging out on the great patio enjoying the 100 year old original beer recipe for Copper City Ale.

Peggy, owner of LDV and current AGA president, showing James around the property.  James was treated like a little celebrity and loved it.

An outstanding wine and from such young vines.  Petite Sirah fans will drool over this wine! Yummy stuff.

An up and coming winery with the tasting room on-site , located on the gorgeous Willcox bench.

Enjoying a glass of wine with Zarpara vineyard manager and owner Mark.  A really great guy.

Bang!  Got ya!

Yes, we are tourist dorks and love it!  Note my dog's rear end in the background.
